Safety is an important issue at D'Antono Dance Academy, our classes teach proper technique. We begin with a warm-up intended to reduce injury by properly warming, stretching muscles and engaging in core and total body strengthening.
Ballet requires hard work, self-discipline, strength and patience. It helps improve posture, coordination, flexibility, strength, and musicality. As the foundation of many of the dance forms we offer, Ballet is recommended as a starting point for all DDA dancers. We encourage students to take Ballet in conjunction with other styles they select.
Students will utilize previously learned ballet technique while working in pointe shoes. Each class includes barre exercises and center floor work. These exercises focus on strengthening the feet and ankles.

This fun class is designed to introduce your littlest dancers to ballet/tap and jazz/hip-hop. Music, movement, balance, and the basic dance steps are introduced in a fun, friendly, and positive manner.
